Thank you for considering Scotch and Soda as your raiding home! We strive to provide raiding opportunities for the entire guild. For Legion, we are anticipating providing two raids per week for the guild. Below you will find information on both of those raiding formats, as well as our preferred loot methodand progress. For your convenience, click on the links below to be re-directed to the topic of your choice.
These rules apply to all raids run under the Scotch and Soda banner, regardless of difficulty or leadership.
**Please be aware that no guildmate will receive an invitation to a guild sponsored raid without having read, agreed to, and signed off on the following updated raiding guidelines**
Scotch and Soda provides raiding opportunities of current and old content to guild members of all gear and experience levels. We have a unique raiding system which allows anyone in the guild to go as far and as fast into the raiding content as they desire.
Below you will find the guidelines that you will be expected to follow to participate in raids with us:
DBM or Big Wigs
Exorsus Raid Tools
Sign up on the guild calendar. Not signing up on the calendar may mean you are missed when invites go out, as they are sent out thru the calendar. When one person is trying to organize 20+ people, it can be very easy to overlook you if you failed to sign up.
Every raider must have read the Raiding Rules as well as the Code of Conduct.
Every raider must adhere to the very strict no blaming/shaming policy that we hold. During raids, any performance or behavioral issues are to be addressed by the raid leadership team ONLY. Calling anyone out in Mumble, raid chat, whispers, or any other method of communication is not allowed. If you see something that you would like to be sure is addressed, please communicate that to the officer that is coordinating your role.
If you die, that is fine. Watch the encounter, wait for your rez and loot. Please realize the living players are trying their best to carry on, and silence while the encounter continues would be appreciated to allow them to focus. While you are waiting for the fight to finish, WHISPER THE RAID LEADER THE WHY/HOW OF YOUR DEATH. This encourages personal accountability, and helps people figure out which part of the encounters they are struggling with. This is not an optional whisper
We love to chat! During trash. During boss fights, please keep commentary to a minimum.
Let the tanks pull. They are the tanks for a reason. You are squishy, and taste good with ketchup.
CC ALL THE THINGS ALL THE TIME! Don’t wait to be asked, please. Once you have a CC down, you are responsible for maintaining it.
Remove any and all CC popping abilities from your bars during trash. You want the tanks to hate you? This is how you get tanks to hate you.
Get yourself to the raid instance at the start time. You cannot rely on a summons in this day and age of very few warlocks. And if we have a warlock, stop working him to death!
Feedback will be given to you occasionally from a raiding leader. All guild members are expected to take this graciously, and make improvements accordingly. This feedback is delivered privately, and politely. This is not an attack on you as a person or as a player, but an indicator of what we need from you in order to improve us as a team.
CURRENT PREFERRED LOOT SYSTEMS
We will use Personal Loot in all Normal and Heroic versions of raids in Legion. We have found that this method provides the largest number of items. Items looted in this manner are also tradeable, so if it is not an upgrade for the player, it can be passed along to someone else who can use it.
As we *do* provide all consumables for raiders, we do expect that any item that you would not equip as an upgrade you will offer it to your teammates. If no one wants the item, please feel free to donate it to an officer for enchanting materials for the gbank.
As we progress into Mythic, we may institute RCLoot Council. You can find the mod for this loot system here:
There is no setup required on your part. Just install it, and wait for the purplies to drop! Screenshots of the mod in action are below:
For additional loot information, go to the Forums, and see the post on Loot Information.
ONE DAY RAIDING
This raid will start up approximately 6 weeks after the Progression Raid does in Legion. This allows for the majority of the guild to level up, see the content, and feel comfortable progressing into raid content.
There are no attendance requirements for this raid. Attend when you can, don’t when you can’t! This raid will not be limited in content, it will progress as fast or as slow as the team in attendance is able to. This means that it is a very real possibility that this raid will also progress into Mythic raiding, when the team is ready.
The point of this raid is to provide a laid back, welcoming environment with which to see the raid content with your guild mates, without the stress/deadlines/pressure/expectations of a progression raiding environment.
A majority of the guild has voiced the request for this type of raiding environment in Legion, and we are delivering!
Sunday- 6pm CST to 9pm CST
Invites start at 5:50pm CST.
I’m in a raid! Now whut?
Bring consumables. If you do not have raiding consumables, grab them from the guild bank. You must come prepared.
Work on getting your character outfitted with fully upgraded BOE items, an 858 ilvl Artifact, any of the faction ilvl 840 gear that you can farm. We have no problem helping people get to where they want to be with raiding, but that does not mean that there is no personal responsibility involved.
Show up to have a good time! Crabby patties not allowed!
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR EMERALD NIGHTMARE
Characters must be 842 ilvl.
Characters should have their Artifact to at least 858 ilvl.
Characters should be fully stocked on all consumables for the night.
Characters should have gems and enchants on all applicable gear.
3 DAY RAIDING
Be aware that the environment for the 3 day raid will be more competitive and focused, and the players in it will have higher expectations. The purpose of this team is to provide an outlet for those in the guild that have stated that they want to push forward swiftly into content, compete for server ranking, and show themselves to be among the best in their class on the Whisperwind server.
The 3 Day Raid currently raids 3 nights a week, for 2.5 hours per night. If you have met the minimum standards for this raid (listed at the bottom of this page), please contact an officer to obtain an invite to the Progression Raid
Mon/Tue/Wed- 7pm-930pm CST
Invites go out at 6:50pm CST, and end at 6:59pm CST.
Combat begins at 7:00pm CST, and no summons will go out after that time.
Rhawnah - Raid Leader/Heal Coordinator
Zauberr- Raid Leader
Gravesend- Raid Leader/Melee Coordinator
Adiastas- Ranged DPS Coordinator
Demiwolf- Ranged DPS Coordinator
Blackangus- Melee DPS Coordinator
If you have any problems during the raid, or strategy suggestions, please take them directly to the officer that is coordinating your role. Try to keep Mumble clear of issues that can easily be resolved for you by an officer one on one.
We hold open discussions on strategies on the forums and Facebook page. If you would like to suggest a specific strategy, or tweaks to the current strategy, the time and place for those suggestions is on the ForUms/FB page, BEFORE the raid. Holding up the raid to discuss the ideas of everyone in the raid that has one leads to 7-10 minute pull timers, and I think we can all agree that everyone hates that.
There is no set roster for the 3 day raid. Every single week, each of the raiders must earn their spot in the raid by their performance on the logs. This means that newcomers may usurp old timers occasionally. If you have lost your spot due to a bad day on the logs, we expect you to be gracious about it, and allow the newcomer their day in the sun. Take a vacay that week, kiss the wifey/hubby a lot, pet the dog. Return the following farm night, post better logs, and get your butt back in the raid. The guild leader has lost their spot due to logs, the raid leaders have lost their spot due to logs, 85% of the officers have lost their spot due to logs. If you are sat due to a bad night on the logs, it is not a personal attack. This is something that has been enforced across all ranks. No one is above it.
Behavior During Raid
If the instructions for the boss encounter went on too long and you have no idea what you are supposed to be doing, don’t ask the RL to repeat everything they just said. Reach out to the officer that is coordinating for your role (see above list), and ask for a simplified breakdown for your specific role.
Ninja AFK’s will be killed in fire.
Please pay very close attention during the loot process. We do not pull trash while loot is going out, so you are not distracted from the process. If you have any issues with anything regarding loot, it needs to be addressed IMMEDIATELY. Do not hold an issue for a day, a week, or any amount of time.
Stock up on ALL of the consumables that you need BEFORE the raid. The guild does a great job of providing for the raids. There is zero excuse to not have every consumable known to man.
Maximize your performance with consumables. This means pre-pot’ing and 2nd pot’ing. Yes, this is actually monitored on the logs.
Know what your Best in Slot items are.
Pay attention to mechanics. You can be sat out of a raid for not following mechanics, even if your numbers are great. We have all seen, many times, that focus targets can be much more important to the success of a raid than spraying and praying.
Minimum Requirements for Invites to the 3 Day Raid at Legion Release
This raid will start up immediately upon raid release. We only need 10 players to run it, so we will take whomever we have that is ready, regardless of raid size.
These guidelines will be adjusted as appropriate once Legion hits.
Characters must be 845 ilvl.
Characters should have at least (2) fully upgraded BoE items.
Characters should have their Artifact to at least 858 ilvl.
Characters should be fully stocked on all consumables for the night. Gbank will not yet be open for business, so plan on supplying your own. Guildies will be available to assist, just communicate your needs in gchat.
Characters should be fully enchanted in all slots (neck, x2 rings, cloak).
Characters should have gems in all sockets as applicable.
Characters should have gems, enchants in their bags for on the spot replacement of upgrades.
Solid internet connection. More than two disconnects will warrant a request to try again on the next raid night.
Characters should have at least (2) ilvl 850 faction items.
Please note that the min reqs for this raid will be fluid as we meet new content and progress.
